Everything you need to know about Migraine Weather.
For many people, yes. Rapid changes in barometric pressure are among the most well-documented migraine triggers. Migraine Weather monitors rate-of-change in pressure, temperature, and humidity — not just current conditions — so it alerts you when the atmosphere is shifting in ways that commonly precede migraines.
Migraine Weather starts with a free 24-hour preview. To keep full access, subscribe to the annual plan — it begins with a 1-month free trial, then $14.99/year. There's also a one-time lifetime purchase for $39.99 if you'd rather pay once.
When you first download the app, you get a 24-hour preview with full access. To continue, subscribe to the annual plan — it starts with a 1-month free trial, then $14.99/year. A payment method is required to start the trial, but you won't be charged until it ends and you can cancel anytime. You can also purchase lifetime access ($39.99). After the preview, the app's forecasts, alerts, and logging require an active subscription or lifetime purchase.
Not yet. Migraine Weather is currently iOS only.
No. Your coordinates are rounded to approximately 7.5 kilometers (about 5 miles) before being stored — precise enough for accurate hyperlocal forecasts while keeping your exact whereabouts private. You can also set a fixed location instead of using your current location. No account or email address is required to use the app.
You get a 4-day outlook with hourly risk breakdowns, plus a 12-hour detail chart showing 6 hours of history and 6 hours ahead. Each hour is classified Green, Yellow, or Red based on how quickly conditions are changing.
Risk levels reflect the rate of change in pressure, temperature, and humidity over a rolling 6-hour window — not absolute values. A pressure drop of 5+ hPa in 6 hours triggers Yellow; 8+ hPa triggers Red. You can adjust these thresholds in settings to match your personal sensitivity.
Yes. You can enable push notifications for Yellow and/or Red conditions, and SMS text alerts for Red conditions only. The app checks for changes every 3 hours and sends a maximum of 2 alerts per day to avoid notification fatigue.
Yes. There are home screen widgets in small, medium, and large sizes showing your current risk at a glance. They update automatically in the background.
Yes. From the History screen you can export a CSV file with your migraine log including dates, severity, notes, and the weather conditions and risk level at the time of each migraine — useful for sharing with your doctor.
